Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently in custody in the Renukaswamy murder case, was transferred from Parappana Agrahara Central prison to Ballari prison on Thursday with increased security measures. The move to Ballari Central Prison, referred to as the ‘Kala Pani of Karnataka’ due to its inadequate amenities, suggests Darshan will be held there until at least September. If there is a court appearance, he may participate via video call.
